MATH 2060 is a four-credit-hour course covering topics typically found in a multivariable calculus class intended for STEM majors.  These topics include vectors and the geometry of space, functions of several variables, multiple integrals, vector functions, and vector calculus.

MATH 2060 is not a coordinated course in the manner of MATH 1060 and 1080.  As such, each 2060 instructor will determine the policies for his/her class.

Textbook Information

Beginning Fall 2019, all sections of MATH 2060 will require Calculus: Early Transcendentals, 3^rd edition, by Briggs, Cochran, Gillett, and Schulz. This is the same textbook used in MATH 1060 and 1080. Depending on instructor, students may have to purchase access to MyLab Math for online homework.  Some options for getting the book:

• Option 1: The complete loose-leaf textbook (chapters 1-17) is sold in the Clemson University bookstore, bundled with access to MyLab Math.
• Option 2: Buy a used copy of Calculus: Early Transcendentals, 3^rd edition, by Briggs, Cochran, Gillett, and Schulz.  Access to MyLab Math will need to be purchased separately (if your instructor requires it).

• Option 3: Purchase access to MyLab Math and use the eText available there.
